Viking sword
A forged Viking era sword, inspired by historical Viking swords and swords from the tales in the Nordic mythology.
The blade is forged in a san-mai style with a core of 80CRV2 carbon steel, and wrought iron cladding. The upper and lower hilt are made out of a core of twisted damascus steel (80CRV2/15N20), and wrought iron on the sides. The pommel are made in a mosaic-damascus construction, and are made to look like the Yggdrasil tree from the tales in the Nordic mythology. The handle have a wood core, wrapped with twisted steel/brass coated steel wires. The runes of the blade are stating "Guardian of Yggdrasil" on one side, and my surname "Fagerlund' on the other side. The runes are etched in, and then have glow in the dark paint added in them. Which makes the rune glow bright green after exposure to light for a while. The sword comes with a scabbard, that have twisted wire details and also wrought iron incorporated in the construction of it. Some leatherwork/carvings with oak-leaves and acorns.
